Yesterday in Franciscan Clericat in Split 14th Assembly of the Head Council of Croatian Cultural Association "Napredak" took place. At the very start, President of "Napredak" PhD Franjo Topić expressed his satisfaction with organization of the International Conference "Exapanding European Union to Southeastern Europe", which took place in Split in cooperation with Christian Labor Movement (MCL) and Center for Labor Issues (EZA). "This conference demonstrates as well how important Bosnia and Herzegovina is in regional context. At the same time, we agreed new projects with our friends from MCL and EZA, and this cooperation has grown into a friendship", said Topić.

The Head  Council scheduled jubilee 60th Head Assembly of CCA "Napredak" to take place in Fojnica on May 28 and the Committee for organization of the Assembly was nominated. It was concluded that branches should be encouraged once again to send their reports as soon as possible in order to prepare collective reports.

"Napredak's" Multimedia Center on Trebević is from today officially named "Napredak's" Home "Trebević". Ceremony of the opening will take place on July 5, and presence of the great number of guests is expected, so the Head Council gave the task to several members to create the protocol for the ceremony. Career solutions were also discussed, e.g. employees of the Home, and the Head Council is trying to decide upon nominating a manager. In the days to come there will also be a competition published for the design of the visual identity of the Home.

Since the official restoration of the Eye Clinique on Koševo to "Napredak" is expected soon, it was concluded that all relevant information should be delivered until the next Assembly of the Head Council about the current state of the building as well as the list of everything that needs to be renovated.

The Head Council invited all members of "Napredak" to the pilgrimage to Zagreb on July 4 and 5 for the meeting and the Holy Mass that will be celebrated by the Pope Benedict XVI.

After the Assembly, members of "Napredak" and friends from Italy celebrated the Holy Mass in Split's Cathedral.
